Jeroen consults from the St Kilda clinic.
Having sustained a running injury himself and knowing how it feels to not be able to practice the sport that you love, Jeroen soon became interested in rehabilitation and physiotherapy.
In 2014, he graduated with a Master's in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy from Ghent University in Belgium.
He then further obtained a postgraduate degree in manual therapy at the same university and then studied to become a certified Neurokinetic therapist (NKT) in various parts of the world, a treatment focused on restoring the neuromuscular imbalances in the body.
Originally from Belgium, Jeroen worked in various physio clinics in his home country before he made the move to New Zealand.
There he had his own practice for about 3 years, specializing in treating running injuries, concussions, scar tissue work and temporomandibular joint (jaw) dysfunctions.
Central in his treatment is his holistic approach (the symptom is not always the problem) and his hands-on therapy.
Running has always been a passion of Jeroen, and so far, he has completed 8 marathons, including the Melbourne marathon, with a PB 2 hours, 32 minutes and 11 seconds.
In 2026, Jeroen spent 13 days running 500km along parts of the front line of World War I.
Jeroen's special interests include:
- Recovering from running injuries
- TMJ (jaw) dysfunctions
- Concussion recovery
- Musculoskeletal physiotherapy
- Post-surgery rehab
